  • I was diagnosed with ADHD in 1st grade and i’m currently in 8th. My life has been a personal hell because of ADHD, because i’m constantly being reminded that i’m not like others, and it’s also to the point where i’m being put on a program to get longer time to do class work. I don’t even want to mention the medication side of it. I ALMOST DIED BECAUSE OF ADHD MEDICATION. Yea. Life with ADHD sucks. So. Bad.

  • Hi Ally :-) Thank you so much for sharing this video. I subscribed to your channel because of another video that you posted.....forget which one....but it was about ADHD and I could relate soooo much to what you were saying!! I am 45 and am going back to school to become a surgical tech and my whole life I never even thought about the fact that I could have this... until I started back to school and my life has been a mess lately!! I was talking to my mom and then started doing research on ADHD and its crazy how many things relate to me!! I made an appointment to get evaluated and to see a therapist so hopefully I will know for certain by the end of November if I have it or not. I actually found myself getting emotional at the end of the video when you were talking about having to call the insurance company and the whole renters insurance thing because having to do those things for me is the same struggle and I get so frustrated and upset and my husband gets mad at me when I forget things and I just feel so stupid ALL the time!!!....anyway...sorry this is so long, I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to make these videos :-) I appreciate it as I'm sure many others do!!! xoxo ~Amy

  • Idk if you will see this, but I do have ADHD and I am 19. The thing I have trouble with is in probably at work idk. Like I will “multitask “ (a adhd way) and sometimes it gets out of hand tbh. I do relate mostly all of the stuff u just said in this video. Like example with the phone situation, I can’t have too many information cuz my head willl get so lost to one thing to the other thing, or like me will forget in one sec with such little things like for example; I LEGIT FORGOT what I wanted to say before I said the me forgetting things every sec part. idk anymore 😂 lastly I am not in school but I did struggle a lot there cuz it was hard keeping up the informations I needed so I did liked to ask questions almost like 5 times or so for me to understand:(

  • I have moderate to servere ADHD and it’s frustrating to be 18 make friends and do the simplest things but without my family I wouldn’t have been diagnosed even thought it wasn’t till I was 15, I’m just grateful that my boyfriend is so supportive and caring I honestly don’t know where I’d be with him or my family and your video is an almost exact replica of how my life is minus having a car and I live with my parents still xx

  • I literally unintentionally started thinking blah blah blah when you mentioned car insurance because it’s too hard to think about that stuff without my brain going dumb and getting too frustrated with confusion. 🙈🤪 girl I feel ya 💕

  • I go through all of these symptoms on a daily basis but I never thought they were symptoms because everything you listed down seemed normal to me I also noticed them in other people around me which is probably why I never knew these symptoms are not what most people experience

  • For the most part this speaks to me, but expect at least you can talk to people more efficiently. Me on the other hand has trouble finishing sentences or my train of thought. The phone thing that happens to me with my water bottles or my hats more than my phone.

  • what i dont get is that loosing your phone, locking your keys in the car, and sending a text to the wrong person, or saying something wrong, is completely normal like..... not trying to say you dont have ADHD cause i dont know you i don't know if you've been diagnosed by an actual doctor. but im a little confused by this video because a lot of this doesnt sound like medical issues it just sounds like youre a normal person with super basic problems....

  • I RELATE SO MUCH TO THIS !! I’m sCREAMING. I say the wrong things for no reason, and I know right from wrong and sometimes my mouth is just faster than my brain when I’m having episodes. I will also lose things that are important and start freaking out and looking for it and calling people, and it’s right in front of me. I also get very distracted very easily. UGH

  • Holy crap , I related to this soooo much. I don't feel so alone now . In fact it makes me sad , I wish it all go away :( it's made my life so super difficult every day that I had panic attacks as a child not realizing that's what they were and my mom always telling me it was my asthma . Ughghhh how horrible to know I'll have to live with this forever and some people will genuinely never understand me or think I'm an idiot and will only get worse as I grow old .

  • OK LOOK. Dont get me wrong now. BUT. Using social media extensively shortens your attention span. it is designed to condition you in that way. Maybe lay of the phone and see what lies behind the unbearable silence that you seem to be pushing away through constant noise.

  • When I was a kid ADHD wasn’t a thing so the doctor called me a “free-spirited child” and so my older sister has it too and I was with her this summer and she educated me on it and now I watch these videos and now I don’t feel odd or out of place because I’m not alone. It’s so nice to see that people also get confused with the whole phone call thing she talked about because when she was explaining it my brain went into overdrive and I totally understand how she got confused. I’m so happy I’m getting educated on my ADHD. 💖 My life is still difficult to try and control but I’m glad I’m not alone.

  • This is sooo me, and what sucks is that there have been times where people called me annoying and It upsets me because I’ve always been friendly and nice to them.

  • What if ADHD is an outgrowth of a capitalist society that bombards us with massive amounts of information and demands an ever-increasing amount of productivity in an increasingly competitive environment. What if ADHD or the components that define it are just a response in humans that exists in reaction to a society that demands from us behavior we haven't been naturalized into evolutionarily. Maybe our species just don't take kindly to a culture that systematically objectifies us and values us based on how much we can assimilate, adjust and produce.

  • I don’t have the hyperactive part of it, but the attention thing is so hard to deal with. I don’t remember things unless I put them together with other things, I can’t retain information for certain things for the life of me. I ALWAYS misplace things and can’t remember where they went, sometimes I genuinely don’t remember what i just did, etc. Like it’s just annoying and difficult and I hate it 😂

  • You don’t have ADHD episodes, it’s all the time. And it isn’t just forgetting a phone, it’s forgetting what you were just taught in school seconds after hearing it, it’s having a different response to a situation because you forgot what happened.

  • All these little things add up quick. Non-adhders might not notice, or they shake their heads at these small annoying issues we face daily (due to taking in everything at once and not paying attention to the tediously boring details), and then these people wonder how and why adhders tend to unravel over that one “last straw” thing that causes a melt down. Because really it’s the weight of all of these little things combined that others don’t even have to face daily.
